The Mad Revisionist – een website ontstaan uit bewondering van de methoden die Holocaust-ontkenners gebruiken om de historische waarheid te ontdekken. Het enige falen van de holocaust-ontkenners volgens the Mad Revisionist: het niet toepassen van hun logica op andere gebieden. The Mad Revisionist gaat door waar Holocaust-ontkenners zijn opgehouden en ontkent vrolijk de maan.
Als de maan nep is, hadden ze hem dan niet in leuke kleurtjes kunnen maken in plaats van saai grijs?
You can see it. But think about it – without the help of so-called “experts”, how do you really know what you’re looking at? It could be a hologram, projected from various government installations throughout the world. It could be a large, crudely painted balloon, held in place by helium and propelled by tiny sails and rudders (which is why it moves across the sky so slowly).
They ingeniously concocted the idea of “cycles of the moon”, and as their resources increased, were able to create the illusion that this object in the sky actually went through such changes. To make their hoax more plausible to early, superstitious societies, they arranged for these cycles to coincide with the months of the year.
But don’t all qualified scientists and astronomers agree that there is a moon? Indeed, but shouldn’t one be suspicious of such unanimity, when universities are supposed to be forums for open debate of controversial issues. (…) You will never see the revisionist perspective on the moon being taught in institutions of higher learning, even as a controversial opposing view. (…) Could you imagine a student who argued the revisionist viewpoint on the question of the moon being awarded a degree? He would be hounded out of the university in an instant! How can one explain such behavior from institutions that are supposed to serve as forums for the free exchange of ideas, except to conclude that the establishment has something to hide?
But don’t the astronauts who claim to have walked on the moon count as eyewitnesses? And just how much money did each of these men receive, on record, for their services? And this doesn’t count the unaccounted millions that have probably bought their continued silence since.
And what about the “moon rocks” that these astronauts brought back with them? I’m sure their backyard gardens are just that much poorer. It will take more than a few phony space artifacts to prove the existence of a 74,000,000,000,000,000,000 ton object orbiting the earth.
Hasn’t the moon been mentioned in texts and literature throughout history? There is no mention of the moon in the English language prior to the year 1066. This is a proven fact, so rarely spoken of in these controlled academic institutions.
Het moge duidelijk zijn dat The Mad Revisionist een humoristische site is. Maar de manier van argumenteren zal voor velen herkenbaar zijn. Het is de manier van veel complottheoretici.
Wanneer iemand met een bewijs voor je neus staat, zeg je dat het gefabriceerd is.
Wanneer een expert een uitspraak doet zeg je dat diegene geld heeft ontvangen om die uitspraak te doen.
Wanneer ‘iedereen’ een bepaalde (andere) mening heeft zeg je dat “zij er allemaal bij horen”.
