Dara O’Briain: Science doesn’t know everything

1 July 2011 by Rosalinde van Wijck 4 Comments

SBM And The Battle For Information
21 October 2026 - Steven Novella
SBM And The Battle For Information

Part of the reason for forming SBM in the first place is because my colleagues and I perceived that we were engaged partly in a long struggle for control over information—specifically the quality of health information being pushed to the public, including the media and regulators. We did not anticipate how much this battle would change over the last few decades, and […] The post SBM And The Battle For Information first appeared on Science-Based Medicine. [...]

Why cancer patients choose “integrative oncology” and what they get: Perception vs. reality

Two recent studies, one from France and one from Taiwan, examine why patients seek "integrative" oncology and what they get. An undercover investigation shows how divorced from reality their perception is.
